Questions
What is Citycoin.dev?
A map of every real city, where each community gets one official coin, local leaders and its own feed for memes, discussions and weekly votes. New city coins launch on the Citycoin.dev Launchpad once the Citycoin.dev token is live.
How do I get my dashboard?
Share your location once (it finds your community and is never saved), then sign one free message with your Solana wallet: you're in. The message isn't a transaction and moves nothing. Next time, sign in with the same wallet. One account per wallet.
I use FOMO (or another app wallet). How do I connect?
Open this site in the wallet app's own browser and connect there. On a computer, choose "Wallet on my phone" and approve with your phone's wallet app. Either way you sign one free message: it isn't a transaction and moves nothing.
How do I become a City Founder?
Founder seats, squads and elections are closed for changes, so no new seat claim, endorsement or election is taken. Founders already seated keep their seat, and every published result stays readable.
Who is the Country Manager?
No new country manager election opens. A term already under way runs until its end date. Until a country has a manager, the admin covers it.
What happens if I sell?
Badges that need a balance go on the next check.
What if I don't live inside any city?
Then you pick one of the three nearest communities to join. You can also ask for your town to become its own community from your dashboard; an admin decides.
Which contract address is real?
The Citycoin.dev token is not live yet, so there is no official contract address yet. Contract addresses can't be posted in Citycoin.dev feeds, so a fake can't spread there.
What do you store about me?
Your wallet address: it is how you sign in. A made-up username, or one you choose, which is the only name feeds show, never your wallet. The name of your home community. Optionally a phone number: you can remove it any time, and it is not verified and not used for anything yet. Never your location: it's used once to find your community, then thrown away. No password: you sign in by signing a free message with your wallet. Member profiles: other signed-in members can open your profile and see your username, home community, bio, wallet address, member-since date, badges and your city-coin balances. They never see your phone number or your location. You can block anyone, and there is no messaging.
Can someone fake their location?
We make it hard: GPS must be inside the real boundary, and the internet connection must be in the same country and nearby. VPNs, proxies, cloud servers and Tor are refused. Country Managers can flag anything suspicious.
